Drawn to the island nation by the plentiful, cheap labor and lack of safety standards, American B-movie producers ground out grindhouse pics by the hundreds set in women's prisons, cannibal camps, fascist dictatorships and jungle hellholes of all types, all slated for drive-in double features back in the USA.
Now the nude documentary Machete Maidens Unleashed! reveals the titillating true stories behind wild flicks like The Big Doll House, Black Mama White Mama, Cover Girl Models, Firecracker, and The Mad Doctor of Blood Island that lived by a different, but still pretty cool, type of three Bs- boobs, blood and beasts.
